Rosa Catherine Hubbard (Dye)

Mrs. Rosa Catherine Dye Hubbard, age 67, of the Lynn Springs section of Swords Creek, Virginia, passed away Wednesday (October 30, 2019) in Abingdon, Virginia. Born June 16, 1952 in Russell County, Virginia, she was a daughter of the late James Edward and Lucy Evelyn Street Dye. A lifelong resident of the area, she was of the Freewill Baptist faith.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two infant children, James Luther Hubbard and Rosie Lynette Hubbard , son, Daniel Guy Hubbard, and one sister, Magdalene Lester.
Survivors include her husband of forty-nine years, Danny Hubbard of the home; one son, Gary Hubbard and wife, Amanda of Honaker; five grandchildren, Gary Allen Hubbard, Jr., Travis Wayne Hubbard, Jonathan Blake Hubbard, Amber Ciara Keene, and Terry Noah Thomas; great-granddaughter, Alaya Lea Small; three sisters, Helen Whited and husband, Ellis, Arbutus Dye and husband, Perry, Della Spencer and husband, Fairley; four brothers, Chester Dye and wife, Ebbie, Tommy Dye and wife, Marlena, Lee Dye and wife, Linda, and Cecil Dye and wife, Shelia; several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 PM Saturday in the Honaker Funeral Home Chapel, Honaker, Virginia with Rev. David Perkins officiating. Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Sunday at the Dye Cemetery at Lynn Springs. Those wishing to attend the service are asked to assemble at the cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Dallas Dye, Joe Dye, Delmer Spencer, Randy Lester, Tim Whited, and Wayne Hubbard.
Honorary pallbearers will be Wayne Hubbard and Jamie Dye.
The family will receive friends at the Honaker Funeral Home Saturday from 5 PM – 7 PM.
