Mr. Keith Edward Whited, age 40, of Castlewood, Virginia, passed away Wednesday morning in Christiansburg, Virginia. Born April 16, 1979 in Richlands, Virginia, he was a son of Dallas and Barbara Robinette Whited of Swords Creek, Virginia. A lifelong resident of southwest Virginia, he was a 1997 graduate of Honaker High School and was of the Freewill Baptist faith. He was employed by Norfolk & Southern Railroad for the past ten years and a member of the Teamsters #571. He was a Virginia Tech football fan and a Duke basketball fan. He enjoyed deer hunting, kayaking, riding his jeep, but most of all spending time with his family.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Reece and Exie Plaster Robinette, and his paternal grandparents, Hearl and Edith Compton Whited.
In addition to his parents, survivors include his wife, Stephanie Whited of the home; two step-sons, Codey Mullins and wife, Abigail of Abilene, Texas, and Justin Mullins of Las Vegas, Nevada; his granddaughter whom called him Pop-Pop, Penny Grace Mullins; one sister, Tonya Whited of Swords Creek; brothers-at-heart, Roy Wells and wife, Rhonda, Michael Brooks and wife, Teena Elkins, Shane Mullins and wife, Kirsti, Mike Gilbert and wife, Jennifer Johnson, Andy Atkins and wife, Kristina, Kenny Robinette and wife, Emily, and Kevin Robinette; beloved canine companions, Shotez, Foxy, Troy and Miss Millie; several aunts, uncles, and cousins also survive.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Sunday in the Honaker Funeral Home Chapel, Honaker, Virginia with Rev. Tommy Dye, Rev. Ellis Whited, and Rev. Scott Mullins officiating. Interment will follow in the Whited-Cox Cemetery at Swords Creek, Virginia.

Pallbearers will be Mike Gilbert, Shane Mullins, Andy Atkins, Kevin Robinette, Ben Hale, Brian Wofford, Tim Whited, Mike Brooks, and John Hale.
Honorary pallbearers will be Friends and Co-Workers at Norfolk & Southern Railroad, his Hunting Buddies, and Royce Owens.
The family will receive friends at the Honaker Funeral Home after 5:00 PM Saturday.
