Mr. Burton Richard “Paw” Stiltner, age 76, of Page, Virginia departed this life on Thursday (August 1, 2019). Born March 31, 1943 in Rowe, Virginia, he was a son of the late Benjamin and Nancy Hess Stiltner. A lifelong resident of the area, he was of the Pentecostal faith and had attended Rowe Pentecostal Holiness Church. He was a retired coal miner and enjoyed fishing, gardening and cutting wood.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Elsie Mae Bond Stiltner; four daughters, Juanita Ratliff and husband, Jerry, Ilene Ratliff, Elsie Stiltner and Delsie Stiltner; one brother, Ira Stiltner and two sisters, Mary Ellen Matney and Edna Stiltner.
Survivors include two daughters, Bell Ann Stiltner and husband, Hershel of Page, Virginia and Patricia Matney and husband, Danny of Asheboro, North Carolina; one son-in-law, Bill Ratliff of Page, Virginia; two brothers, Lacy Stiltner and Roger Stiltner, one sister, Mable Stiltner; brothers-in-law, Roy Bond and W.C. Vance; nine grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 PM Monday at Rowe Pentecostal Holiness Church with Rev. Anthony Hale officiating. Interment will follow in the Clinch Valley Memorial Cemetery at Richlands, Virginia.
Pallbearers will be Nathaniel Blankenship, Russell Ratliff, Jeffery Ratliff, Steven Ratliff, Richard Stiltner, Hope Matney West and Amanda Blankenship.
Honorary pallbearers will be Ray Ratliff, Chris Ratliff, Brittany Ratliff, Jeremy Jackson and Josh McCracken.
The family will receive friends at Rowe Pentecostal Holiness Church after 6 PM Saturday and Sunday evenings where an evening service will be conducted at 7 PM.
