Mr. Harold Reynolds, age 80, of Honaker, Virginia, passed away Tuesday (July 30, 2019) at his home. Born December 13, 1938 in Russell County, Virginia, he was a son of the late Betsy Jane Musick. A lifelong resident of southwest Virginia, he was of the Freewill Baptist faith and attended Tunnel Hill Freewill Baptist Church. He was a retired sawmill operator, having been employed at several area sawmills. He enjoyed going to church and spending time with his family, especially the children.
In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by three sisters, Shirley Peck, Bonnie Peck and her husband, Carlos, and Nora Jones, three brothers, James Musick and his wife, Jane, Danny Joe Musick, and Dennis Musick, and brother-in-law, Bobby Patrick.
Survivors include three sisters, Eula Peck and husband, Estil of Honaker, Marie Patrick of Abingdon, Thelma Ball and husband, Wayne of Belfast; five brothers, George Musick and wife, Linda, Sherman Musick and wife, Lisa, Jessie Musick and wife, Angie, Stanley Musick and wife, Pat, Lacy Musick and wife, Linda all of Honaker; brother-in-law, Clarence Peck; sister-in-law, Deana Musick; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great-nieces, and great-great-nephews.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Home Nursing Company of Lebanon, Dr. Handy of Abingdon, and Smoky Mountain Medical of Elizabethton, Tennessee.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Saturday in the Honaker Funeral Home Chapel, Honaker, Virginia with Rev. David Perkins and Rev. Eugene Miller officiating. Interment will follow in Poppy’s Lane Cemetery in the Clark’s Valley section of Swords Creek, Virginia.
Pallbearers will be David Reynolds, Tyler Musick, Chester Musick, Joshua Musick, Jonathan Musick, Travis Ball, Brad Peck and Phillip Musick.
The family will receive friends at the Honaker Funeral Home after 6:00 PM Thursday and Friday, where an evening service will be conducted both evenings at 7:00 PM.
