Mr. Cecil “Frank Powers, age 49, of Lebanon, Virginia, passed away Monday (July 29, 2019) in a Lebanon, Virginia, hospital. Born March 10, 1970 in Lebanon, Virginia, he was a son of Vivian Mae Powers of Lebanon, Virginia and the late James Harold Powers. A lifelong resident of the area, he was formerly employed by Ken’s Chrysler and Bostic Ford. He was an advocate for the ASPCA and enjoyed attending car shows.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Cecil and Helen Honaker, paternal grandparents, Ralph and Mary Powers, uncles, Ronnie and Larry Honaker, and his pet cat, Bella.
In addition to his mother, survivors include one sister, Tammy Short and fiancé, Chuck Brady of Lebanon; one niece, Taylor Short and fiancé, Dylan Krafick of Rosedale; step-mother, Sharon Blankenship and her husband, Brady; several aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends also survive.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Norman Rexrode, Dr. Michael Ulhrich, Sharon Street, and the staff of Russell County Medical Center.
Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 PM Wednesday in the Honaker Funeral Home Chapel, Honaker, Virginia with Rev. Rondo Reynolds officiating. Private graveside services will be conducted on Thursday in the Pepper Patch Cemetery at Rosedale, Virginia.
Pallbearers will be Chuck Brady, Greg Booher, Dylan Krafick, Darnell McGlothlin, Matthew Byrd and Johnny Tuggle.
The family will receive friends at the Honaker Funeral Home after 6:00 PM Wednesday.
