Mr. Tommy James Lowe, 70, of the Robinson Ridge Road section of Swords Creek, Virginia, passed away Monday (June 24, 2019) in Bristol, Tennessee. Born January 28, 1949 in Whitewood, Virginia, he was a son of Dorothy Mae Cantrell Byrd of Cedar Bluff, Virginia and the late Marcus Kelly Lowe. He had spent most of his life in the area and was a disabled mechanic. He was a member of the Revival Center in Swords Creek. He enjoyed and had a talent for playing the guitar and carpentry work.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by one brother, Joseph Lowe.
In addition to his mother, survivors include his wife of fifty-years of Phyllis Ann Kincaid Lowe of the home; two children, Sylvia Ann White and husband, Earnest of Delaplane, Virginia and James Glen Lowe and wife, Christina of Stuart’s Draft, Virginia; six grandchildren, Kari Lynn Lowe, Katherine Michelle White, Aaron Matthew White, Rodney Clinton Belcher, Damian Allen Lowe, and Cody Lee Grey; three great-grandchildren, Isaiah Lowe, Ciara Hensley, and Aubrey White; one sister, Joyce Robinette and husband, Howard of Horton Ridge; six brothers, Marvin Lowe and wife, Susie of Raven, Marcus Lowe, Jr. and Gary Lowe both of Cedar Bluff, Donald Lowe of Richlands, Earl Lowe of Honaker, and Franklin Lowe of Bristol; step-brother, Paul Byrd of Richlands; step-sister, Cathy Byrd of Richlands; several nieces, nephews, and a host of friends and church family.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Saturday in the Honaker Funeral Home Chapel, Honaker, Virginia with Rev. David Perkins and Rev. Tommy Dye officiating. Interment will follow in Greenhills Memory Gardens at Claypool Hill, Virginia.
Pallbearers will be Aaron White, Earnest White, Justin Lowe, Eddie Lowe, Anthony Lowe, Zachary Hart, Jim Richardson, and Damian Lowe.
Honorary pallbearers will be all of his neighborhood children and children of the church.
The family will receive friends at the Honaker Funeral Home after 6:00 PM Friday.
