Obituary

Mrs. Virginia Wilson, age 90, of Honaker, Virginia, passed away Tuesday (May 28, 2019) in a Lebanon, Virginia nursing facility. Born November 7, 1928 in Russell County, Virginia, she was a daughter of the late Earnest and Martha Massie Crabtree. She had spent most of her life in the Russell County area and was a member of the Free Christian Church on Big A Mountain. She enjoyed crocheting and working in her flower garden, but most of all spending time with her family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Wilson, two brothers, Tansel Crabtree and Claude Crabtree, and one sister, Geanette Rasnake.
Survivors include one daughter, Joyce Thomas of Lebanon; one son, Earl Wilson and wife, Wanda of Honaker; four grandchildren, Bobby Rose, Connie Cook and husband, Brad, Amy Wilson, and David Wilson; two great-grandchildren, Jordan Wilson and Eden Cook; two sisters, Jewell Lee and Irene Harris; two brothers, Mack Crabtree and Johnny Crabtree; several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 PM Thursday in the Honaker Funeral Home Chapel, Honaker, Virginia with Rev. Roy Lee Wilson, Rev. Edward Tiller, and Rev. Wayne Baldwin officiating. Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Friday in Ketron Memorial Gardens at Lebanon, Virginia. Those wishing to go in procession are asked to assemble at the funeral home by 10:30 AM.
Pallbearers will be David Wilson, Jordan Wilson, Brad Cook, Bobby Rose, Barry Miller and Tommy Gilbert.
The family will receive friends at the Honaker Funeral Home after 6:00 PM Thursday.
