Mr. Claude Houston Fuller, age 94, of the Belfast section of Cedar Bluff, Virginia passed away Thursday (April 18, 2019) in a Lebanon, Virginia hospital. Born June 5, 1924 in Russell County, Virginia, he was a son of the late Dewey Steven and Bertha Ball Fuller. He was a retired coal miner, having been employed by Island Creek Coal Company and a member of the UMWA Local 1509. A lifelong resident of the southwest Virginia area, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, farming, but most of all spending time with his family.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Hamilton Fuller, and several brothers and sisters.
Survivors include one son, Garnett Steven Fuller and wife, Judy of Abingdon; one daughter, Phyllis Cook of Lebanon, Virginia and her daughter, Tina Helbert; grandson, Steven Mark Fuller and wife, Traci of Abingdon; great-grandchildren, Kaci Arnold and husband, Tyler and Steve Cole Fuller; two sisters, Trula Wallace of Cedar Bluff and Anna Ruth Vance of Fairborn, Ohio; one brother, Harless Fuller of Honaker; foster daughter, Jeri King of Murrell’s Inlet; several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Saturday in the Honaker Funeral Home Chapel, Honaker, Virginia with Pastor Michelle Brock, Belfast United Methodist Church officiating. Interment will follow in Greenhills Memory Gardens at Claypool Hill, Virginia.
Relatives and friends will serve as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends after 10:00 AM Saturday at the Honaker Funeral Home, Honaker, Virginia.
